Man Sent to E.R. After Electronic Cigarette Accident.
Inhale deadly toxins or have electronic device explode in your mouth? Both sound unpleasant, but you know when you see the word explode, or any variant of said word, you kind of expect mayhem, even if it’s just a little bit. Tom Holloway, 57, was unfortunate enough to experience the explosion bit. He had been smoking an electronic cigarette to get his nicotine fix (sans extraneous chemicals) when the device malfunctioned and literally blew up in his mouth, ripping out part of his tongue, some teeth, and burning his skin. Talk about bad irony. The somewhat “healthier” device nearly killed him. [L.A. Times]

Pinterest Boom Minus The Money.
Taken an interest in Pinterest? You’re not the only one. In the past six months alone, the virtual scrapbooking website has grown tenfold. It’s unique visitors were a third of Twitter’s in January alone. Despite Pinterest’s popularity increase, the website is still not making a profit. Just how much could the site be making? $200 million. It’s only really missing a business plan, but it might follow a model similar to Facebook, selling advertisements based off users’ interests… I wonder how Tumblr feels about this. The “Linsanity” Trademark Battle.
The challengers: Andrew Slayton and Yenchin Chang. The goal: Possess the trendy trademark known as “Linsanity.” Slayton, supposedly a former unofficial coach for Lin’s high school team, started website Linsanity.com in 2010 and filed for trademark rights on Feb. 9. But alas! Chang managed to file for the same trademark just two days before on Feb. 7. Chang’s connection to Lin? They’re both Taiwanese. Yeah… Hopefully there’s a stalemate because nobody wants the lazy, money hungry user to win. That’s like allowing the F.R.I.E.N.D.S.‘s spin-off Joey to stay on air despite how much it sucks.[Huffington Post]
